Simple by design

Cut it. Push it. Screw it.

Built around a straightforward three-step idea that puts custom cord length within reach of homeowners, tradespeople, makers, and manufacturers.

1

Cut it

Measure the distance you need and cut the cord to the right length for the job.

2

Push it

Insert the aligned cord into the specially designed Adapt-A-Cord connector body.

3

Screw it

Tighten the connector as designed to secure the cord and complete the assembly.

Why Adapt-A-Cord

Less wasted cord. More control.

The vision is a cleaner, more flexible approach to cord management—from one-room projects to job sites and eventually everyday appliances.

Choose the right length

Distinctive oval design

An oval cord concept helps keep internal conductors aligned while creating a recognizable product identity.

Made for real people

Inspired by decades of hands-on construction, repairs, troubleshooting, and seeing the same cord problems repeatedly.

Reduce excess material

Right-sized cords may help reduce clutter, packaging, storage headaches, and unnecessary wire.

Built to grow

One idea. A world of uses.

Job Sites

Cleaner setups for tools, temporary power, and changing work areas.

Home & DIY

Custom cord lengths for workshops, garages, rooms, and repairs.

Reach where needed without hiding loops of extra extension cord.

Appliances & Electronics

A future platform for right-sized detachable power cords across many product categories.

“Why are we still forced to buy the cord length somebody else decided we need?”
The Adapt-A-Cord story

Born from a simple question.

Adapt-A-Cord began with a contractor looking at a problem most people had accepted as normal: cords are often too long, too short, difficult to repair, or badly suited to the space.

That question became a hands-on family project—sketching, measuring, 3D printing, revising plug bodies, testing cord shapes, and working toward a product that could make electrical connections more adaptable.

Family-built with decades of practical experience behind it.
Designed with safety, usability, and manufacturability as core goals.
Created to become a platform—not just a single extension cord.
